After updating Windows 8 to Windows 10 today we found that Windows live mail would no longer work as it was missing the MSVCR110.dll and/or the MSVCR100.dll.
We tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 to no avail.
Terrified to uninstall Windows Live Mail and possibly lose all settings, accounts, and emails, we searched for ways to repair Windows Live Mail without destruction.
Our success was found below:
Open your new Windows 10 taskbar search box and type wlarp and then <enter>. Select Repair Windows Live Essentials or whatever it says I can’t remember, just choose the repair option. Reboot and try to open Windows Live Mail again. (we didn’t even reboot and it worked no problem.)
I sincerely hope this fixes you up as well.
